Please be aware that all patients who attend the South West Imaging Training Academy are patients of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.  For more information regarding University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust please click on the external link to the right of this page.

Parking – There are marked car parking spaces available specifically for patients at the front of the building. There are also plenty of disabled spaces if required. Please ensure you bring change for the Pay and Display Machine as parking charges do apply.  The current tariff can be found on the Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust website by clicking the link to the right of the screen.

Waiting Area – The Academy has only a small waiting area so when attending your appointment you are advised not to bring lots of family and friends with you.

Wireless – The Academy provides access to a free wireless network.

Refreshments – The Academy has limited refreshment facilities on site however a vending machine containing chocolate, crisps and cold drinks is available. There is also a hot drinks machine available in reception which dispenses tea, coffee and hot chocolate which accepts £1 coins.

Ultrasound – As part of the South West Imaging Training Academy training scheme our qualified doctors currently scan Ultrasound patients on behalf of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. However no appointments are booked through the Academy itself and if you require an Ultrasound scan you must access this service through your GP Surgery. MRI/CT – There is a mobile MRI/CT scanner which attends the site on a regular basis to scan patients on behalf of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.  However, no appointments are booked through the Academy itself and if you require an MRI/CT scan you must access this service through your GP surgery.  For more information on the MRI/CT services provided through Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust please click on the link to the right of the screen.
