We also offer specialist services such as cancer care, plastic & reconstructive surgery, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric care and renal services to people living further afield in Devon, Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, Somerset and Dorset. We have more than 30 wards, 20 operating theatres, around 850 inpatient beds and more than 60 daycase beds.
It is a Foundation Trust, which has retained its top-ranked three star status in the NHS performance ratings for 2004/05, making it one of only a few trusts in the country to have achieved three stars for five successive years.
Exeter is a lively University City with excellent amenities. Close proximity to both the coast and Dartmoor provide abundant recreational possibilities for sailors, windsurfers, kitesurfers, mountain bikers and walkers.
